How did #talkedtotheboss start? It all started with a Deacon from one of the parishes Fr. Joe was assigned. Each morning, Fr. Joe would meet with the Deacon to review the day’s schedule. Drawing from his previous experience in the construction industry, the Deacon was used to the superintendent saying “I talked to the boss…”—a clear reference to the person overseeing the entire project. After talking with Fr. Joe, the Deacon would often go to the staff at church and say “I talked to the boss”. Fr. Joe found this phrase inspiring and decided to incorporate it into his prayer life.

As a priest, Fr. Joe is tasked with relaying the daily guidance he receives from “the Guy in Charge”—the ultimate Boss, GOD. Through #talkedtotheboss, Fr. Joe shares the insights gleaned from his private prayer time, offering prayerful reflections that help us all better focus on Him.
